About BOB

Having grown up in a small, rural town, my life experiences have taught me that not everyone is afforded the same opportunities in life. Often times, many good people end up in bad situations and need someone they know and trust to fight for them. Not only do I want to provide my clients with quality representation, but also I want to go the extra mile to help them get their lives back on the right path. EXPERIENCED

Bob M. Cook previously served as a law clerk to Judge Brooks Goldsmith in 2005-2006 and as a prosecutor in the Berkeley County Solicitor’s Office from 2006-2008. Bob spent three years in a private practice in Camden before moving home and starting his own practice. Bob practices mostly in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury. However, he also handles litigation matters, probate cases and even some real estate closings.

LOCAL

A native of Kershaw, Bob is married to Madison Bowers Cook, a Special Education teacher at Andrew Jackson Middle School. When he’s not playing or watching sports, Bob enjoys relaxing with his wife and their daughter, and dogs - a Goldendoodle, and a Maltipoo.

Although Bob has experienced a successful career, his achievements have never kept him from being able to relate to the needs of his clients. Just ask around town and you'll find it's true, Bob treats everyone with respect and integrity.

INVOLVED

Bob serves as a board chairman of Plexus Health, Inc and was former board member of KARE (Kershaw Areas Resource Exchange). He is a member of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the South Carolina Bar Association, the Lancaster County Bar Association, and past president of the Kershaw County Bar Association. Bob also serves on the board of the University of South Carolina - Lancaster Education Foundation.

DRIVEN

Bob loves his job because he enjoys helping people. He loves standing up for those that have been wronged or taken advantage of and making sure their rights are protected. Because he loves helping people, he often has a hard time saying ‘no’ when someone needs help with their problems.

Seeing the look on a client’s face after getting a favorable result in his/her case is the most rewarding part of Bob’s career. When a client tells a friend good things about him as an attorney and he hears of it, there is nothing more satisfying.
